Candelling the Eggs
Farmer Duncan came in to check on the eggs. By shining a bright light through the egg he can see which eggs contain embryos. He can even see their veins and heartbeat. You can see a bit of a blur.
Numbering the eggs
This video show’s Duncan arriving with the eggs, us numbering them and sealing them in to the incubator.
Duncan & Sally's Farm
Duncan, our egg provider shows us around his farm and where the eggycam chicks will go when they're hatched. They'll start off in the rearing pen for five weeks, then they go outside for a while, then they go to the growing pen when they're mature. Then they lay eggs and the cycle of life goes on and on…
Life cycle
Duncan, our egg provider explains to us the incubation process, and how the eggs are managed. The most important thing from your perspective is that on day 10 the unviable eggs are removed from eggycam (this is likely to be one or two eggs) - if you've bet on one of these eggs you'll be a loser!
